It is with great sadness that KETHEA was informed of the death of Professor Griffith Edwards, a world authority in the field of addiction treatment, a highly intelligent and deeply human scientist who devoted his whole life and his rich clinical work, research efforts and writings to rehabilitation from alcohol and drugs.
Inter alia, Griffith Edwards spearheaded the creation of therapeutic communities in Europe, founded the UK National Addiction Center and was for many years Editor- in-chief of Addiction Journal.
KETHEA had the good fortune to work with him, gaining a lot from his deep knowledge, vast experience and creative energy.
We will all miss him…
