ADDICTION publishes peer-reviewed research reports on alcohol, illicit drugs, tobacco and behavioural addictions, bringing together research conducted within many different disciplines.

Drughelp.eu

Drughelp is a service for people who use drugs and hope to get a better understanding of the possible harms their drug use may bring about. The service has been developed by a group of experts working in the field of treatment and harm reduction, and provided by the Pompidou Group of the Council of Europe. Drughelp is based on the Drug Use Disorders Identification Test DUDIT, developed by Dr. Anne H Berman from the Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. ECETT

ECOSOC
ECOSOC was established under the United Nations Charter as the principal organ to coordinate economic, social, and related work of the 14 UN specialized agencies, functional commissions and five regional commissions. The Council also receives reports from 11 UN funds and programmes.

EFTC
Founded in 1978 and formalised in 1981 on the initiative of a group of therapeutic communities for residential drug treatment, the EFTC is a European federative organisation supporting the psychopedagogical approach helping drug addicts to return to a drug free life style and to become contributing members of the wider community. Today the EFTC. is spread across Europe in 25 countries and represents more than 40 treatment organisations.

Elisad
The primary purpose of Elisad is to enable those working in the field of alcohol and drugs – and facing common challenges – to exchange ideas and experiences and – through networking and interaction with each other – to improve their knowledge, skills and performances.

European Action on Drugs (EAD)
The European Action on Drugs (EAD) is designed to provide European civil society with a platform to increase awareness and commitment as regards drugs and the risks related to drug abuse, and to promote dialogue and exchanges of best practice.

European Family Therapy Association (EFTA)
European Family Therapy Association (EFTA) is an association that connects over 900 family therapists, 130 training institutes and 26 national family therapy organizations, altogether representing 28 different countries across Europe.

European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA)
The EMCDDA exists to provide the EU and its Member States with a factual overview of European drug problems and a solid evidence base to support the drugs debate. Today it offers policymakers the data they need for drawing up informed drug laws and strategies. It also helps professionals and practitioners working in the field pinpoint best practice and new areas of research.

IC&RC
IC&RC promotes public protection by offering internationally-recognized credentials and examinations for prevention, substance use treatment, and recovery professionals.

ISAJE
The International Society for Addiction Journal Editors was founded as a not-for-profit organisation in 2001. The Society provides support and guidance for journal editors and staff and authors and reviewers working in the addiction field. It organizes training workshops, and through online and printed material offers guidance on ethical regulations and publication standards. It supports journals published in the developing world and those published in languages other than English.

Lifelong Learning Platform
The Lifelong Learning Platform is an umbrella that gathers more than 40 European organisations active in the field of education, training and youth. Currently these networks represent more than 50 000 educational institutions and associations covering all sectors of formal, non-formal and informal learning. Their members reach out to several millions of beneficiaries.

NIDA
NIDA’s mission is to advance science on the causes and consequences of drug use and addiction and to apply that knowledge to improve individual and public health.

UNIR Research
UNIR Research – The Research and Technology Department at Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR) – designs, implements and evaluates research strategies at the university. UNODC

World Federation of Therapeutic Communities (WFTC)
The goal of the World Federation of Therapeutic Communities (WFTC) is to join together in a worldwide association of sharing, understanding and cooperation within the global TC Movement as well as to widen recognition and acceptance of the Therapeutic Community and the Therapeutic Community approach among health organizations and health delivery systems of international and national bodies.

Το Εθνικό Κέντρο Τεκμηρίωσης και Πληροφόρησης για τα Ναρκωτικά (ΕΚΤΕΠΝ) λειτουργεί στα πλαίσια του Ευρωπαϊκού Κέντρου Παρακολούθησης των Ναρκωτικών και της Τοξικομανίας (EMCDDA – Ευρωπαϊκό Κέντρο).
