The PEGASUS mobile unit has been providing information and prevention services in the sphere of substance abuse in Greece, since 1989. Responding to requests from local agencies, the unit—which is housed in a specially designed double-decker bus—attends festivals, major arts and sporting events to provide information and counselling, to organize events and to make referrals.

KETHEA units all over Greece make systematic efforts to inform and sensitize the local community through open events, lectures, seminars, information stands and partnerships with local organizations and media. The members of therapeutic communities play a key role in these efforts, as do the Family Associations.
